Engraved 19th Century Percussion Revolver

A decorative mid-19th-century percussion revolver, c.1850–1870,featuring a long octagonal barrel, six-shot cylinder and finely engravedsteel frame. The revolver is ornamented with scrolling foliate engravingto the frame and cylinder, together with an unusually elaboratefish-scale engraved hammer.

Fitted with a dark chequered grip with a small decorative inset and anengraved metal butt cap. An attractive example of a Victorian-erapercussion revolver with particularly strong decorative detailing.

Condition: Good antique condition with age-related surface wear,patination, minor pitting and marks to the metalwork. Engraveddecoration remains clearly visible. Untested mechanically and sold as anantique collector’s item.
